Rick Vavra

Rick L. Vavra, 70, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville. He was born February 24, 1949 in Bellaire, OH, the son of Steve and Helen (Sidlowski) Vavra.  He married Debra DiPaolo on August 7, 1971 in Shadyside, Ohio, and she survives.

Rick was a Chemical Engineer and retired from G.E. He was currently employed by Customs Resins in Henderson, KY. He enjoyed photography and cars.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; brother, Thomas (Dawn) Vavra; niece and nephew,  Steven and Alison; sister-in-law, Lynne (John) Ziants and niece and nephew, Alexandra and  Gregory;  and his cats, Duece, Samantha and Lil’ Toonnce. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald (Sara) Vavra and surviving nieces, Rhonda and Leslie.

There will be no services.  Memorials may be made to the Posey County Humane Society.  Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
