Richard Hubele

October 12, 1936 — February 2, 2022

Richard D. Hubele, 85, of Norris City passed away at 4:06 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Carmi, IL on October 12, 1936 the son of Norman and Esther (Roland) Hubele.  Richard married Beverly Jane Phillips on August 9, 1957 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2016.  Richard joined the United States Army and served during the Korean War,  He retired from Wayne-White Electrical Co-op where he worked as a Lineman. Richard was a faithful member of Norris City United Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Jane (Danny) Lamp of Norris City; son, Jeff (Holly) Hubele of Norris City; two grandchildren, Marquis (Lindsey) Lamp and Cody Lamp; two step-grandchildren, Emily (Ivan) Castro and Hanna (Dakota Mullins) Edwards; a great-grandson, Jaxon Lamp; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Joyce Mellentine and Helen Rasure, and four brothers, Robert, Vernon, Leroy and Kenny Hubele.

Funeral services for Richard Hubele, 85, of Norris City will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.  Burial will be in Powell Cemetery in Norris City.  Visitation will be held from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to Pets at Risk or Carle Hospice and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
