Richard Bingman

     Richard A. Bingman, 79, of Carmi passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at McLeansboro Rehab and Healthcare in McLeansboro, IL. He was born in Carmi on September 2. 1944 the son of Arthur William and Berniece (Bohleber) Bingman. Richard married Mary Helen Williams on May 31, 1964 and she preceded him in death on May 30, 2022. 

     Richard was a longtime White County farmer and retired in 2000 after 36 years. He went on to manage the Carmi Quick Lube and Browns Feed and Chemical Epworth Plant. He was a faithful member of Georgia General Baptist Church.

    Richard is survived by his two children, Bethany (Page) Alexander of Springfield, IL and Chad (Ashley) Bingman of Breese, IL; five grandchildren, Evan and Bailey Alexander, Jase and Claire Bingman and Averie Catlin; two siblings, Kathy (Keith) Damm of Norris City and Scott (Sherry) Bingman of Carmi; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Graveside funeral services and burial for Richard A. Bingman, 79, of Carmi will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024 in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the White County Senior Citizens and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is in charge of arrangements.
