Rebecca Wooten, 48, of Carmi passed away at 12:55 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at her residence in Carmi. She was born October 29, 1965 in Eldorado, IL the daughter of Burtis Ray and Sharon Kay (Creason) Tarrence. Rebecca married Charles L. "Heavy" Wooten, Jr. on July 25, 1998.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Charles "Heavy" Wooten, Jr. of Carmi; her mother, Sharon Fletcher of Carmi; her father, Burtis Ray Tarrence of Herrin; a daughter and son-in-law, Dusty Nicole and David Edwards of Norris City; a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Samantha Voelker of Carmi; two step-son, Danny Wooten of Norris City and Scotty and Angie Franklin of Eldorado; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jona Zanier of Austin, IN and Sonja and Mike Sullivan of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Pamela Fann of Carrier Mills; a sister-in-law, Janet Fann of Carmi; a son-in-law, Adam Wasik of Benton; five grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild and one on the way and several nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Rebecca was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Wheeler.
Graveside funeral services and burial for Rebecca Wooten, 48, of Carmi will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Ditney Ridge Cemetery in Norris City. Campbell Funeal Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
