Ray Friddell

Ray W. Friddell , 88 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Tuesday evening, June 2, 2015 at Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon. He was born on June 15, 1926 in Big Springs, Tennessee. He was the son of Charlie and Nola (Pendergrass) Friddell. He married Cora Ann Schwagman Bean on September 4, 1964 in Metropolis and she preceded him in death in 1994.

Mr. Friddell worked in construction. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived locally by his caregiver, Roger Greenwell of Evansville; two sisters, Imogene Newton of Red Bank, Tennessee and Joanne Ward of Nashville, Tennessee; a niece, Carolyn Moore and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Friddell and sisters, Bernice Erwin, Christine Francisco and Pauline Lewis.
