Ramona Hast

Ramona F. Hast, 74, of Carmi passed away at 8:21 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on April 16, 1943 the daughter of Wilbur Logan and Wanda Lorain (Ellis) Derry. Ramona married Douglas Glenn Hast on June 3, 1961 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1988.  She was a 1961 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and went on to work in various factories in Southern Illinois before retiring from Champion Labs in Albion.  Ramona was a charter member of Stewart St. Baptist Church in Carmi and was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in McLeansboro.

Ramona is survived by a daughter Pamela (Louis) Roberts, of Enfield; son Doug (Sharon) Hast, of Enfield; brother, Michael (Elaine) Derry, of Concord, NC; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Roberts, Kim Yocum, Katheryn Perez, Heather Hast, Kenneth Hast, Nikki Hast, Kevin Page, Katie Page, Kayla Hast and Scott Stover; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Stover on January 7, 2002 and a grandson, Bradley Roberts in 1987..

Funeral services for Ramona F. Hast, 74, of Carmi will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Memorial contributions may be made in Ramona's memory to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
