R. Brent Loehr, 67, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Brent was born in Evansville on June 9, 1953 the son of Charles and Golda (Baldwin) Loehr.
Brent worked at Capco and GAF before becoming disabled in 1984 due to a motorcycle accident. He was an avid Trump supporter and member of the NRA. He was an outdoorsman and could often be found fishing, cutting firewood, or working on his or his family’s vehicles. He was also an International Harvester tractors fan and watching tractor pulls. He was an animal lover and was preceded in death by Cooter his dog/best buddy.
He is survived by his sons, Waylon (Sabrina), Eric (Chelsea), and JR (Latenna); grandchildren, Savannah, Trevor, Kaleb, Jacob, Brianna, Sophie, Mason, and Deklan Loehr; brothers, Kent (Lisa) and Steve Loehr; sisters, Martha Ingram and Lois Rini; and longtime companion, Tonya Bebout. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. A walkthrough visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service. Due to the national health crisis mask will be required and social distancing should be maintained.
