Penny Rodgers

Penny Marie Rodgers, 58 of Norris City, passed away Friday evening February 17, 2017 at her home. She was born December 29, 1958 in Gary, IN the daughter of Chayley J. and Phyllis J. (Iliff) Rodgers.
It was said about Penny and her attitude about life, “If more people were like Penny, our world would be a much better place to live.” She worked many years at Coleman Tri-County Services. She was a member of Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Rodgers, Janet (Delbert) Burton and Deborah (John) Curley; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday February 21, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Bill Paceley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the family to help defray funeral costs.
