Peggy L. Anderson, 74, of Carmi passed away at 3:42 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born September 25, 1939 in Carmi, IL the daughter of Andrew Lincoln and Edna (Storey) Leithliter. Peggy married Lawrence Paul Anderson and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and attended Cherry St. General Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lori Anderson of Carmi; a son, Curtis Lee Anderson of Mt. Vernon, IN; two brothers, Stewart Albert Leithliter and Andrew Lee Leithliter; three grandchildren, Jessica Warren, Jeremy Staton and Brittany Anderson; and one great-grandchild, Kody Anderson. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Paul Anderson, Jr. on March 25, 2013 and two brothers, James Nelson Leithliter and George Leithliter.
Graveside funeral services and burial for Peggy L. Anderson, 74, of Carmi will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 in West Union Cemetery near Carmi with Rev. Lowes Browning officiating. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
