Paul Stauber

Paul J. Stauber passed away October 18,2018, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born September 11, 1937 in Evansville, the son of Joseph and Angeline (Vaal) Stauber. He married Shannon F. Carter on October 10, 1959.

Paul retired from ICI in Dec 1997, as a Forman operator. He worked with his son, Jim at Assistant for Electrical Assistant for 10 years. He was a founding member of The Connection Church. He loved to garden and share his produce with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angeline Stauber; son in law Richard Edwards;  and his brother-in-law, Leroy Nurrenbern.

He was survived by his wife of 59 years. Shannon Carter Stauber. Children, Paula Edwards, Pam (Darrell) Rice, Joe (Angie) Stauber, Jim (Kristi) Stauber & Lawanda (Tony) Kirsch.

Grandchildren, Shelli (Chris) Kempf, Caleb (Reba) Rice, Matthew Stauber, Luke (Sammy) Stauber, Keaton (Amber) Edwards, Alex Carey, Josh Stauber, Jacob Stauber, Lindi Stauber, Karly Edwards, Liza Kirsch, Abe Kirsch; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Rosie Nurrenbern and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit between 11:00-1:00, with funeral at 1:00 Saturday October 20,2018 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
