Paul Edwards

Paul Joe Edwards, 59, of Norris City, passed away at 1:18 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. He was born January 2, 1954 in Owensboro, KY the son of Paul Logan and Margaret Elnora (Hart) Ruby. Joe married Olea C. Ibanez on July 23, 1986. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Joe had worked as a security guard for 20 years with Ira E. Clark and had Joe's Fruit Stand. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by his wife of 27 years, Olea; their children, Jessica J. and Michael R. Edwards both of Norris City; two sisters, Mae Darnell of Gilbertsville, KY and Charlene Eskridge of Calvert City, KY; a brother, Oather Lee Ruby of Hardin, KY; three uncles, J.R., A.J. and Frank Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Georgiana Elizabeth Ruby, and Paulette Skallerup and a brother, James Ruby.

Funeral Services for Paul Joe Edwards, 59, of Norris City will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Memorial Contributions may be made in Joe's memory to help start an educational fund for his children and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
