Patty Jo Browning, 71, of Carmi, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born March 23, 1942 in Harrisburg, IL, the daughter of James Harland and Clarice Wayne (Brooks) Bratcher. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Carmi.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Jo and Tom Headlee of Carmi; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Beth Browning of Mt. Carmel, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Ellen Bratcher of Carmi; four grandchildren, Thomas Charles "TC" Headlee, Michael Headlee, Cheryl and husband, Wes Clemens and Tyler Browning; and two great-grandchildren, Cassie Clemens and Andrew Gillihan.
Graveside funeral services for Patty Jo Browning, 71, of Carmi, will be Monday, May 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi with Pastor Chris Marsh officiating. There will be no prior visitation and you are asked to meet at the cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given in Patty Jo Browning's memory to Shop with a Cop or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
