Patrick Wood

Patrick "Pat" Wood, 71, of Carmi, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:48 p.m. at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 26, 1942 in Posey County, Indiana, the son of George Edwin and Geraldine (Hoover) Wood. Pat married Laura Marie Jordan on February 25, 1993. He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years. Pat was a member of Harvestime Temple in Mt. Vernon, IN, and the Mt. Vernon, IN American Legion and Masonic Lodge #548 in Earlington, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Laura Wood of Carmi; four daughters, Jacqulyn Denise Brown and Stacy Lynn and husband, Raymond Little all Evansville, IN, Dewanna Michelle Conover of Owensboro, KY and LeeAnn Marie and husband, Troy Rudd of Portland, OR; two sons, Geoffrey Eric and Jacob Patrick Wood both of Evansville, IN; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marilyn Bates of Mt. Vernon, IN and Deborah and Ernie Stevens of Evansville, IN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald Edwin and Marilyn Wood of Atlanta, GA and George Randall and Rhonda Wood of Omaha, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Patrick's Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at his home at 303 Sixth St. in Carmi with a Time of Remembrance at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to Pets At Risk and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
