O D Bridgeman, 81, of Grayville passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 8:54 a.m. at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL. He was born May 9, 1931 in Monticello, KY, the son of John W. and Josie Belle (Harmon) Bridgeman. O D married Dorothy Evelyn Wilson on June 9, 1956 and she survives. O D served in the U.S. Army and worked in the oilfield industry as well as did yard work all around Grayville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grayville.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; a daughter, Ginger Wurtz and her companion John Hargrove of Mt. Vernon, IN; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Susan Bridgeman of Mt. Vernon, IL; two brothers and a sisters-in law, George and Sandra Bridgeman of Indianapolis, IN and J.R.and Joyce Bridgeman of Carmi; a sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Bruce Noland of Indianapolis, IN; three granddaughters, Trish Jourdan, Jessica Clark, and Chelsea Bridgeman; two great-grandsons, Mason Lee Clark and Brentley Lucas Jourdan; three step great-grandchildren, Megan Jourdan, Landon Clark, Blake Jourdan; and one step great-great-grandchild, Bailey Cox.

O D was preceded in death by two sisters, Hollis Webb and Artie Bridgeman and five brothers, Glen, Chester, Kelly, Robert and Johnnie Bridgeman.

Funeral Services for O D Bridgeman, 81, of Grayville will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Rodney Groff officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in O D's name to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
