Naomi Faye Durchholz, 75 of Mt. Vernon, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was born on August 31, 1943 in Hopkinsville, KY, the daughter of Othol and Mamie (Johnson) Grace. She married Raymond Durchholz on January 14, 1967 in Hopkinsville, KY and he survives.
Faye was a floral designer, and had worked for many years at Wehr's, before her retirement. She had also worked at Zeidlers. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, son, Eric Durchholz and daughters, Lesli Ricketts and Paige Schmidt; five grandchildren, Dustin Ricketts, Ashlee Ricketts, Brock Ricketts, Brent Ricketts and Dalton Schmidt; brothers, Alfred (Margo) Grace, David (Jessie) Grace, and Kent (Becky) Grace; sisters, Helen Groves and Joette Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ed Grace and sister, Shirley Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Maddux- Fuqua- Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, KY, with burial in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Stendeback Family Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, IN is in charge of local arrangements.
