Nancy Ruth Edwards

Nancy Ruth (Gough) Edwards, 83, of Norris City, IL passed away at 4:55 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, IN. She was born December 7, 1933 in North Carolina the daughter of William Charles and Nellie Leona (Cranfill) Gough. Nancy Ruth married T. Edwards on February 20, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1988. She was a Bookkeeper/Teller at the Norris City State Bank and Banterra Bank for 25 years. Nancy Ruth also did bookkeeping for the Village of Norris City.
Nancy Ruth is survived by a son, Greg (Michelle Vickers) Edwards of Norris City; and two granddaughters, Emily and Hanna Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie Gough, her husband T. Edwards, four brothers, Clarence, Homer, Thurmond, and Richard Gough and three sisters, Mildred Bottoms, Betty Jo Hinshaw, and Margaret Phelps.
Funeral services for Nancy Ruth Edwards, 83, of Norris City, will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in Palestine #2 Cemetery in Omaha. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy Ruth's memory to Palestine #2 Cemetery and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
