Nancy Pearce

Nancy L. Pearce, 77, of Enfield, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born July 27, 1937 in New London, CT; the daughter of Clarence H. and Gertrude (Courtney) Wells. Nancy graduated from New London High School in 1955 and later went on to receive her Associates Degree from Southeastern Illinois College. On November 22, 1958, Nancy married Charles N. Pearce in Niantic, CT and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2002. She was always happy for the years she had with the Pearce family, who were always there with love and kindness. Nancy had many wonderful friends and enjoyed visiting with the crew and friends at the Carmi McDonalds.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Chuck Pearce of Enfield, Michael and Mary Pearce of Tallahassee, FL and Thomas and Marge Pearce of Eldorado; five grandchildren, Sarah Hileman, Nicholle Gittings, Megan Houseman, Kelsey Pearce and Michael Pearce, Jr.; and four great -grandchildren, Caleb and Mackenzie Hileman, Aubrey Gittings and Logan Houseman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers and their wives, Bob and Marion Wells and Jack and Peggy Wells.

Per keeping with Nancy's wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at her home at 1125 U.S. Hwy. 45, Enfield. A memorial service will be held on September 27, 2015.
