Nancy Ledford

       Nancy L. (Holmes) Ledford of Carmi, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born on November 29, 1953, the daughter of Frank and Joanne Holmes of Dahlgren, Illinois. Nancy attended McLeansboro High School. She was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed going to the American Legion baseball games. Nancy also liked attending the Eldorado Holiday Tournament when she was able. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and playing bingo at Wabash Christian Senior Living. The delight in her eyes was her great-granddaughter.

     Nancy is survived by her children, Leslie Prince and Daniel (Rachel) Ledford both of Carmi, IL; three grandchildren, Alexa Prince of Shawneetown, IL, Bryce Prince of Carmi, IL. and William (Olivia) Ledford of Carmi, IL; one great-grandchild, Charlotte Mason of Shawneetown, IL; a sister, Sharon Rutherford; and a brother, Fred (Margie) Holmes. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Scott Prince. The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone who helped care for Nancy during her time at Wabash Senior Living.

     There will be no services at this time. Contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to Campbell Funeral Home and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
