of Mt. Vernon, Indiana
died Friday, December 14, 2007 Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitations Center.

Myrtle was born March 31, 1916 to the late Benjamin and Dora Bradford in Kingston Spring, Tennessee. She married George Chastain, Sr. in 1933 and they had five children. Myrtle was a homemaker and a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, George Chastain, Jr. and wife, Pattie of Mt. Vernon; Charles Chastain and wife, June of Mt. Vernon; Norman Chastain and wife, Betty of Andalusia, AL;
two daughters,Janice Chastain of Indianapolis, IN; Ruth Roach and husband, Ron of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters,
Bessie Moore of Mt. Vernon
Goldie Abernathy of Mt. Vernon
Nine Grandchildren and several great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Bradford and a sister, Dixie Kampff.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Bob Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Friends may call 4 pm until 7 pm, Monday, December 17, 2007 and Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 12 pm until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church and Mt. Vernon General Baptist Church.
