Mildred Acord

Mildred L. Acord, 97, of Norris City passed away at 8:38 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born in Norris City on September 10, 1920 the daughter of Otto and Matilda (Rochelle) Acord. Mildred was a housekeeper for several residents in Carmi and Norris City.
She is survived by three nephews, Bart (Tawny) Henson of Norris City, Brad (Donna) Henson of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Ted (Diana) Bray of Florida; and several great-nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marian Bray; and a step-brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Ruth Henson.
Graveside funeral services and burial for Mildred L. Acord, 97, of Norris City will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made in Mildred's memory to Living the Adventure Ministries, 1814 Franklin Ave., Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is handling the arrangements.
