Michael Seitz, Jr.

Michael Lynn Seitz, Jr., 55 of Evanville, passed away Saturday February 18, 2017 at Park Terrace Village in Evansville. He was born December 20, 1961 in Evanville, the son of Michael Lynn and Jan (Allbright) Seitz, Sr.

Michael had worked for nearly 30 years at DSM in Evansville. He was a longtime Union Representative for Local UAW 3048. He had been and Eagle Scout and along with his father attended a three weeklong camp at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He loved deer hunting and riding motorcycles. He had been a member and Driver for Black Township Fire and Rescue. He was the owner operator of the Westside Washtub.

He is survived by his parents Michael and Jan; daughter, Haley Seitz; son, Drew (Amanda) Seitz; brother, Douglas L. Seitz; sister, Kimberly K. McBride; granddaugher, Hazel; step-grandchildren, Hailie and Leah; niece, Jensen McBride; aunts and uncles, Steve (Kathy) Allbright, Barbara Grabert, Amy Shaw and Diane (Jack) Hall; many cousins that he loved very much. He is also survived by the love of his life, Lisa Renschler.  He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Darrell McBride; grandparents, Albert and Adeleigh Albright and Bill and Ruth Seitz; aunts and uncles, Gene Burgess, John G. Allbright, Victor Allbright, Rebecca Reynolds and Sharon Herke.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday February 23, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial at Marshall Ferry Cemetery near Maunie, IL.
