Michael Wayne Hayden, 65, of Crossville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Kankakee, IL on August 3, 1953 the son of Wayne and Madeline (Hillyard) Hayden. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Eldorado. Mike worked in Nashville, TN doing building maintenance, as well as operating a carpet cleaning business and working security. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, wood working and drawing.
Mike is survived by three sisters, Kay (Ron) Hagen, of Oklahoma City, OK, Tammy Ireland, of Crossville and Daphne (Rick) Webb, of Maunie; two brothers, Rick Steed and Jason Steed, both of Crossville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Hayden, his mother, Madeline Steed, step-father, Hugh Steed, brother, Butch Steed and a sister, Carmen Stanley.
Funeral services for Michael Wayne Hayden, 65, of Crossville, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi with Military Rites by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to National Kidney Foundation and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
