Michael L. Fleck, 63, of Carmi passed away at 11:38 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1949 in Carmi the son of Christopher Alfred and Doris Maxine (Anselment) Fleck, Jr.. Michael married Judith J. Chapin in 1987. He was a 1967 graduate of Enfield High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Michael was a truck driver for Brown's Feed Store and of the Methodist faith.
Michael is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy of Carmi; a daughter, Shonna Riddel of Henderson, KY; a son Keith Fleck of Owensboro, KY; a step-daughter, Kim St. Ledger of Albion; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Barbara Fleck of Carmi; six grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella, Olivia, Connor, Aiden and Hailey; three step-grandchildren, Tara, Shaeili and Kade; a step-great-grandson, Harley; a nephew, Gordon Fleck and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Michael L. Fleck will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi with military rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m Saturday until the time of service at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
