“Mel” Schwitz passed on October 2, 2017, at the age of 83.
Surviving loved ones include her daughter, Linda Schwitz Pope (Bill), of Carmel, IN, and her son Steven Schwitz, (Cindy), of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Schwitz, her son, Randall Schwitz, and daughter, Susan Schwitz Zilkowski. She leaves behind five grandchildren, John Boss of Carmel, Courtney Schwitz Donofrio (Denny) of Phoenix, Hayley Schwitz of Evansville, and Grant and Brooke Zilkowski of Ponte Vedra, FL.
Mel’s greatest joy was her family and the role of grandmother.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bell Oaks Place for their loving care.
Gratitude is also noted to Kindred Care for their compassionate aid.
