Melba Lou Bolin, 82, of Carmi, passed away on Thursday April 22, 2021 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born on September 18, 1938 the daughter of Henry Browning and Velma (Goodwen) Unthank. She was a 1956 graduate of Carmi Township High School. On June 3, 1957, she married Leroy Pete Bolin in Carmi, and he precedes her in death. She worked as an E. M.T. and a dispatcher for Norris City police and ambulance service. Melba enjoyed reading, camping, gardening, cooking and most of all, spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Melba is survived by three sons, Jeff (Jenny) Bolin, Jim (Jana) Bolin and Joe (Angie) Bolin; two daughters, Regina (Brett) Edwards and Shannon (Harold) Delap; grandchildren, April, Jarred, Branden, Caleb, Lauren, Whitney, Maegan (Patrick), Chelsea (Nathan), Emily (Leah), Justin (Jessica), Jeremiah (Micah), Josiah Dusten ( Kayleigh), and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Juilanna, Ashlynn, Lyla, Addison, Jonathan, Avalyn, Kash, Relic, Azlynne, Wyatt, Klay, Nora, Christian, Jacob, Ashlynn, Alexia, and Makenya; and a special cousin Judy Koester. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and her son John.
Funeral Services for Melba Lou Bolin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. Family and Friends may visit from 11 a.m. till time of service. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
