Maxine Rister
March 3, 1926 — March 4, 2013
Maxine Rister, 87, of Carmi passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:28 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born March 3, 1926 in Mt. Carmel, IL the daughter of Herschel and Pearl Day. Maxine married Mavin K. Rister on May 2, 1946. She had worked in sales at the Fashion Shop and for 22 years at Rister Offset Printing. Maxine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carmi.
Maxine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melinda and Monty Applin and Janice McKay all of Carmi; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Vanessa Rister of Carmi; four grandchildren, Suzanne Mullins, James McKay, Bryson Rister and Amanda Brown; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Lee Rister on May 1, 2010, three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral Services for Maxine Rister, 87, of Carmi will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Gary Feldman officiating. Burial will be in Hammack Cemetery in Springerton. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m.
