Maxine Fiscus, 83, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 4:49 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born February 20, 1930 in Saline County, IL, the daughter of Ralph R. and Flora Elizabeth (Jones) Williams. Maxine married John Robert Fiscus on June 1, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2005. She worked as a teller at The National Bank and Enfield National Bank. Maxine was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carmi. She was active in the church and several organizations.
Maxine is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Leibern "Red" and Susie Williams of Newburgh, IN; a niece, Diane Nichols of Terre Haute, IN; and nephews, Jerry L. (Virlee) Williams of Carmi, Steve Summers of Waynesville, OH, Tim Summers of Charleston, WV, Rick Williams and Nick Williams both of Evansville, IN and Kevin Klausmeier of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Ann Summers; a brother, Billy Joe Williams; and a niece, Janet Williams.
Funeral services for Maxine Fiscus, 83, of Carmi, will be Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Beckie Laumeier officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
