Mary Emma McIntosh

Mary Emma Rodgers McIntosh 92, of Carmi passed away Friday morning October 12, 2018 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi, Ill.  She was born September 10, 1926 in Vienna, IL she was the daughter of Charles Henry and Emma (Marley) Rodgers.  She was married to Lester Lee McIntosh on June 22, 1947 in Springerton he preceded her in death on December 23, 1988.

Mary was a homemaker and loved to read, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles and also loved crafting.  She loved her family.  She was a member of the First Christian Church of Carmi.

She is survived by her son Lester Paul (Darnelle) McIntosh of Bruno, AR; daughters, Mary Ellen (Marvin) Schiavone of Sherman, TX; Rebecca June (Richard) Hargrave of Shelbyville, Il; and Leah McIntosh of Houston, TX; grandchildren Jill Schiavone, Jason (Tia) Schiavone, Melissa (Brian)Daugherty and Jonathan Hargrave,  great-grandchildren Hannah and Hunter Daugherty and Lily and Emma Schiavone.

She is preceded in death by four brothers Marley, Charles, John and Francis Rodgers and also one sister Nella Jo Newcomb.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday October 15, 2018 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home with Rev Mike Fields and Greg Grant officiating .Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday October 14.2018 at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the First Christian Church of Carmi.
