Mary Winter

Mary Jane Winter, 71 of Springerton, passed away Monday evening January 11, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born January 5, 1945 in Springerton, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Rister) Carter. She married Donald Wayne Winter he preceeded her in death in 2002.

Mary Jane worked at the Community Care in Fairfield for 17 years. She was a Christian lady and loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Mike (Mandy) Winter of Springerton; 2 Daughters Gail (Mark) Wheeler of Springerton, and Carla (Mike) Schuhart of Centralia. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren Lindsay, Heath (Tracy), Michael R. (Rylie), Jesse, Laci (Brandon), Michael K. (Jaclyn), Jake and Nicole; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Aubree, Eryn, Kaiden, Maya, Kallen, Jack, and Remi; a sister Vera (Leford “Gomer”) Boucherie of Springerton; a sister in law Deanna Jaegers of Enfield; aunts, Veda (Marshall) Johnson and Rose Carter also survive.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Robert P. and Gerald Carter.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 16, 2016 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with burial in Springerton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm on Friday January 15, 2016 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
