Mary Phillips

Mary G. Phillips, age 82 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Friday morning October 16, 2009 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 24, 1927 in Bay City, IL the daughter of Russell and Mahalia (Wiley) Tinsley. She was married to Virgil Phillips.


Mary had worked at Dyna Kleen in Evansville. She was a member of Harvestime Temple in Mt. Vernon.


Mary is survived by her husband Virgil; one son, Rodney Phillips of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Ryan and Andrea Phillips; one great-grandson, Isiah Phillips; one brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Frances Tinsley of Francisco, IN and one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Tom Varner of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. and Ted Tinsley and two sisters, Ethel Radcliff and Betty Lois Smith.
