Mary Lyannas

Mary Jane Lyannas, 85, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois.  She was born on January 8, 1936, the daughter of Frank Lyannas and Isabelle Nelson.  Mary was a singer in a band in her younger years and also had a passion for skydiving.

Mary is survived by her children, Mike (Kaye) Doneghue of Elizabethtown, KY, Alan Doneghue of Olney, IL, Beverly Doneghue of California and Linda Doneghue; her siblings, Charles Newman of Carmi, IL, Pennie Newman of Fairfield, IL, Connie Newman of Crossville, IL, Gertrude Hart of McLeansboro, IL, Barbara Fletcher of Thompsonville, IL. and Frank Newman of Carmi, IL. and eight grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Tom Newman, Carroll Newman, Phillip Newman, Bob Newman, Roger Newman, Charlotte Stephens, Donnie Newman, Scott Newman and David Newman.

Private services for Mary Lyannas will be held at a later date.  Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
