Mary R. Koker, 88, of Carmi passed away at 8:10 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born in London, England on December 14, 1928 the daughter of Albert James and Nellie Allen (Herbert) Carey. Mary was a homemaker and attended Stewart Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Cathy Koker of Wetumpka, AL; daughter, Marilyn (Ron Hack) Thomas of Mt. Vernon, IN; three brothers, Peter, Ted, and Robert Carey all of England; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Koker; two brothers, James Albert "Alby" Carey and Tony Carey and two sisters, Betty Clarke and Nancy Carey.
Graveside memorial services for Mary R. Koker, 88, of Carmi will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2017 at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi with Mike Fields officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
