Mary Elizabeth "Beth" King, 79, of Carmi, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born on February 4, 1936 in Carmi, IL, the daughter of Arthur Maurice "SI" and Beatrice Elizabeth (Hall) Myers. Beth married Robert D. King on June 20, 1953. She had worked at Ainsbrook Sewing Factory and was a cook at Jefferson School. Beth was a member of Crossroads Bible Church, VFW and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bob; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Dennis Heil of Mill Shoals and Mary Ann and Art Fulkerson of Omaha; two sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest and Terri King and Jeff and Gina King all of Carmi; a sister, Ann Bradley of New Concord, OH; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert W. and Pat Myers of Carmi, John D. and Karen Myers of Deland, FL and Bill and Gloria Myers of Boonville, IN; four grandchildren, Michael King and his wife, Liza, Ashley Kosikowski and her husband, Jason, Matthew Heil and his wife, Kayci and Amy Hubbard and her husband, J.D.; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Beth King, 79, of Carmi will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Pastor Chad Everett and Pastor Mark Allen officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home.
