Mary Gray

Mary Etta Gray, 84, of Carmi, passed away at 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born in Carmi on March 21, 1934 the daughter of James Gilbert "Gib" and Fern L. (Hillyard) Chilton. Mary married William L. "Bill" Gray on November 30, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2010. She graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1951 and was a homemaker.

Mary is survived by, two daughters, Teresa Klotz of Essex, MO and Cindy Collins of Carmi; two sons, Gary Gray of, California and Mike Gray of Leavenworth, KS: three sisters, Pat (Norwood) Rodgers of Carmi, Delores (Richard) Rice of Xenia, IL, and Barbara Brown of Palestine, TX; two brothers, Jim (Jan) Chilton of Villa Grove, IL and Harrell Chilton of Carmi; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services for Mary Etta Gray, 84 of Carmi will be held at 2:00 p.m.,  Monday, August 13, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to First Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
