Marvin Goodwin

Marvin L. Goodwin, age 65 of Mt. Vernon, died Friday afternoon April 16, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born June 17, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, the son of William and Bessie (Willingham) Goodwin. He married Patty Patrick on July 11, 1981 in Mt. Vernon and she survives.


Marvin had served with the National Guard. He attended the Mt. Vernon Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his wife Patty; two sons, Keith Goodwin and Randy Goodwin both of Mt. Vernon; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and David Goldman of Poseyville, Tiffany Patrick of Mt. Vernon and Holly and Richard Bradley of Mt. Vernon; one grandson Andrew Goldman; five brothers, David Goodwin of Evansville, Jimmy Goodwin of Mt. Vernon, Johnny Goodwin of Mt. Vernon, Clinton Goodwin of Mt. Vernon and Walter McRoy of Fairfield, CA; four sisters, Julie Becker, Jenny Hogan, Mary Cooney all of Mt.Vernon and Amy Ewer of Hartford City, IN.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 11 a.m until time of service
