Marjorie P. Thomas, 96 of Maunie, died Friday night March 14, 2014. She was born on May 3, 1917 in Emma Township, the daughter of Green B. and Edna M ae (Tower) Huff. She married Arch L. Thomas on October 24, 1941 in Clayton, MO and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2007.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Lynn & Jim Collins of Harrisburg; two grandaughters, Amy Michelle & Alan Burgener of Marion and Andrea Marie & Steven Reyes of Chicago; one great grandson, Alex Thomas Burgener and soon to be born, Baby Reyes.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Lee; three brothers, Noble T. Huff, Cort Bye Huff, Phillip Huff and three sisters, Hazel Olive Kilmer, Sophia Fern Lee and Rhoda Aileen Bryant.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Marshall Ferry Cemetery. On-line condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
