Marjorie Britton

Marjorie L. Britton, 84, of Carmi passed away at 12:55 a.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Enfield Rehab and Healthcare in Enfield, IL.  She was born in Mill Shoals, IL on October 6, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Bertha (Williams) Prince.  Marge married Robert Dale Britton and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1977.  She worked all her life and worked many years as an in-home health caregiver.  Marge attended Wesley Chapel near Enfield and enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Lisa Partain of Carmi; two brothers, Bill Prince of Rock Island, IL and Ed Prince of Fairfield, IL; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Charles Robert Britton on January 7, 2010, three sisters, Verna Griese, Patsy Sisco and Carol Kay Prince, and three brothers, Doyle Prince, James Prince and Mike Prince.

Funeral services for Marjorie L. Britton will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Memorial contributions may be made in Marge's memory to Wesley Chapel and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
