Marilyn Usery, 83, of Carmi, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10:34 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on October 25, 1931 in Crossville, IL, the daughter of Harold Oliver and Dora (Gates) Hansman. Marilyn married Charles Eugene Usery on June 11, 1955. She operated Usery Ceramics and Budget Video for over 35 years. Marilyn was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi and the White County Republican Women. She also served as a Cub Scout den leader.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dave Winkleman of Cynthiana, IN; a son, Kenny Usery of Carmi; two grandchildren, Bryan Ramsey and his wife, Brittany of Omaha and Ashley & Chad Bingman of Breese; three great-grandchildren, Averie Catlin, Stryder and Rylan Ramsey; two sisters-in-law, Jenny DeDoming and Kay Hansman; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Jordan. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Usery; two sisters, Wilma Jordan and Phyllis Beckman; two brothers, John Wayne and Charles Hansman; a granddaughter, Heather Ramsey; a niece, Jan Fishback; and a nephew, John Wayne Hansman, Jr.
Funeral services for Marilyn Usery, 83, of Carmi, will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
