Marilyn Schneider

Marilyn Schneider, age 82 of Evansville and formerly of Carmi, died Tuesday July 30, 2013 at Village of Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh, IN. She was born June 6, 1931 in Carmi, the daughter of Howard and Mabel (Baker) Churchwell. She married Charles W. Schneider on December 24, 1948 in Carmi and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1981.

Marilyn retired from the State of Illinois Drivers License Bureau.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Beth (Greg) Clark of Carmi and Teresa (Bill) Land of Indian Land, SC; a son-in-law, Jerry Foley of Midland, TX; a longtime companion Lindy Scudella of Evansville; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle Land, Cullen Foley and Wesley and Sydney Clark; 3 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Bailey and Kassidy Foley; 2 brothers, Tommy (Joy) Churchwell and Howard (Cheryl) Churchwell all of Carmi; and 1 sister, Clara Hilsenhoff of Mantino. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 daughter, Toni Foley and a brother, Murrel Churchwell.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday August 2, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in St. Polycarp Cemetery.
