Marilyn Cozart

Marilyn J. Cozart, 83, of Carmi passed away at 5:35 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 18, 1931 in Enfield the daughter of Christopher Alfred and Rosa Belle (York) Fleck. Marilyn married Milas Martin "Sonny" Cozart on July 31, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2011. She had been Executive Vice President of White County Bank for 35 years. Marilyn was a member of Carmi First United Methodist Church, Red Hatters, VFW Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Cozart Hamblin of Carmi; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian (Kathy) Cozart of Carmi; three grandchildren, Allison Joyce Cozart, Ashley Jordan, and Ethan Aud; two great grandchildren, Whitley and Corinne Jordan; and a nephew, Larry (Barbara) Fleck of Carmi.

Marilyn was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Fleck; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher Jr, and Doris Fleck, and a nephew, Mike Fleck

Funeral services for Marilyn J. Cozart, 83, of Carmi, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Marilyn's name to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 204 Halfway Road, Marion, IL, 62959.
