Margie Hester

Margie Ann  Hester, 76, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday March 7, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born  in Mt, Vernon Indiana on October 26, 1944, the daughter of Vernon and Ella (Bridges) Marvel.  She married Malcolm Leon Hester on August 20, 1983 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2003.  Margie was an avid Bingo player.  She loved playing cards, singing karaoke, attending wrestling matches as well as cooking and baking.

Margie is survived by one son, Glen (Heather) Pierce of Jasper, IN.; four daughters, Tina (Dannie) Burnett of Crossville, IL., Janet (Ricky Boaz) Pierce of Carmi, IL., Jenny (Jay) Dunn of Carmi, IL., and Kim (Tyson) Brandon of Crossville, IL.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Louise (Raymond) Pierce, Jenny (Donnie) McGrew and Nancy (Dennis) Ward all of Mt. Vernon, IN.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Leon Hester; her parents; and two daughters, Kathy McGregor and Diana Russell.

Funeral services for Margie Ann Hester, will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 with burial at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Margie's memory to the White County Relay for life and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.  In accordance with CDC and IDPH recommendations, social distancing will be observed and masks will required.
