Margaret Yeida

Margaret J. (Mercer) Yeida, 79, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Specialty Select Hospital in Evansville, IN. She peacefully left this earthly home to go on to her eternal home and meet her heavenly father, who she so faithfully served her whole life. She goes on to be reunited with her parents, Jesse and Magdalene (Meridth) Mercer, her husband, William “Bud” Yeida, her sons, Jerry W and Tony Alan Yeida, her daughter, Gloria Forsee, grandauughter, Stacy L. Forsee, great-grandchildren, Tia Forsee and Jordan hanmore.
She is survived by one son, Glenn E. “Pete” Yeida and his wife Jo Ann of Mt. Vernon, IN; daughters, Beverly A. Tucker and her husband Bill of Mt. Vernon, Donna L. Wallace and her husband Don of Blairsville, IN, Connie R. Thompson and her husband Roger and Mary M. Price and her husband Tony of Mt. Vernon, IN, Jane M Healy and her husband Greg of Clinton, KY, and a very special chosen daughter Pam Bailey and her husband Donnie of Mt. Vernon, IN; 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed many things in life but her greatest joy was serving the Lord and her family. She belonged to the Point Township Church of The Nazarene. Her family and friends are so grateful for the memories she has left to them to cherish. We are also thankful for the Christian Heritage that she has instilled in each one of us. “ Being a good mom isn’t complicated. Only one thing is needed. When you, yourself, dine in the presence of God, your children will find in you what they need.”

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon with burial in the Weiss Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Point Township Church of The Nazarene Building Fund
