Margaret Thompson, age 74, of Carmi, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at her home. She was born October 14, 1938, in Enfield, the daughter of Roy and Norma (Brown) Hosick. She married Tony Thompson November 28, 1958, in Enfield, and he survives.
Margaret worked as a beautician in her home since 1966. She loved to camp and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her family and friends
In addition to her husband, Tony; she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Nedra Thompson of Carmi; a daughter and her fiancee, Toni Marchelle Finchem and John G. Emery of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Sheila Hosick; two grandchildren, Jesse and Kassie Thompson and Shaley Finchem; two great-grandsons, Sloan Thompson and Wyatt Pretzsch; a niece, Christy Morrill; a great-nephew, William Morrill; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Don and Bill Hosick; a niece, Joni Hallam; and a special niece, Taylor Cokely.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 2:00 pm, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Reverend Gary Nalley will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Kingdom Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com.
