Margaret L. Carey, 78, of Enfield passed away at 11:17 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Enfield Healthcare. She was born January 17, 1937 in Norris City, IL the daughter of William Otis and Lois Ann (Stovall) Ratliff. Margaret married James Carey in 1957 and he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a homemaker.
Margaret is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe and Heather Carey of Newton, and Richard and James Carey both of San Bernardino, CA; a daughter, Sandra Carey of Missouri; three sisters, Doris Shipp of Norris City, Judy Kolkmeier of Raytown, MO and Billie Ratliff of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren including Nathan and Megan Carey of Newton; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Walter W. and Samuel L. Carey.
Graveside funeral services and burial for Margaret L. Carey, 78,of Enfield will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro. Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to Enfield Healthcare and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
