Mabel Kiefer

Mabel Elizabeth Kiefer, 85, of Grayville, died at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville on December 16, 2015. She was born on October 4, 1930 in Clinton, IN, the daughter of David G. and Leona Reeve Lindsay. She married Earnie D. Kiefer in September, 1949 and celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Mrs. Kiefer was a member of the Grayville Christian Church. She worked for Grayville Casing and Pulling for 20 plus years. She was an avid Bridge player and played with her friends in Grayville for many years. She was a homemaker, great cook, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Earnie; sons, David S. (Jennifer) Kiefer of Albion, and Timothy D. (Pamela) Kiefer of Grayville; grandchildren, David R. (Jane) Kiefer of Fairfield, Joshua D. (Melissa) Kiefer of Albion, Zachary D. Kiefer of Grayville and Jaime M. Kiefer; great grandchildren, Jase Andrew Kiefer, Nathaniel David Kiefer, Piper James Kiefer and Mareah Michelle Kiefer. She was preceded in death by her parents and step father, W. O. Banter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Grayville Christian Church. Visitation will be from 9-11. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
