Lula Mae Kimmel, 88, of Mt Vernon, IN passed away at 9:26 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on June 4, 1928 the daughter of John and Lessie Goff. Lula married Fred C. Kimmel on August 17, 1957 he preceded her in death on June 10, 2007. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Brenda Goff of Mt Vernon, IN; a brother, Robert Goff of New Harmony, IN; a grandson Clifton Goff of Carmi; a step grandson Frank Davis of Mt Vernon, IN; two step granddaughters, Susan Conrad of Mt. Vernon, IN and April Stewart of Henderson, KY; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and John Goff and three sisters, Irene Pruitt, Molly Clayton, and Loveda Pierce.
Graveside funeral service for Lula Mae Kimmel will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday July 6, 2016 at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of the arrangements.
