Louise York, 88 of Enfield, passed away early Saturday morning June 27, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 9, 1931 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Cyril and Katie (Dauby) Biggerstaff. She married Gerald York on November 11, 1954 at St. Patrick Catholic Church and celebrated 65 years together.
Louise was a long time employee of the Food Shoppe in Enfield. She was a farm wife who loved her family. She had served on the Enfield School Board. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; sons, Ronnie (Debbie) York and Glenn (Vickie) York; daughters, Becky (Barry Drennan) York and Renee (Mark) Sanders; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin York and sisters, Rosie Frymire, her twin Lucille Berberich and Betty Ruth Grewe.
A funeral mass for Louise will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday June 29, 2020. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services. The family asks that people attending observe the social distancing and be mindful of the 2 hour visitation time as there will be time to visit after at the funeral dinner. Memorials are suggested to the St. Isadore Chapter of the Knights of Columbus charities. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield is in charge of arrangements.
