Louise Storey, 95, of Enfield, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 6:15 p.m. at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born on May 13, 1918, the daughter of Jesse and Clara (Keasler) Harper. Louise married John William Storey on October 4, 1939. She was a farm wife and had worked at the Echo Restaurant. Louise was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed her workshop and making things for the nursing home.
Louise is survived by her husband of 73 years, John Storey, of Enfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Gates and husband Richard of Carmi, Cindy Wilson and husband Ken of Enfield, and Belinda Cornett and husband Galen of Marion; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Johnny Storey of Carmi, Charles Storey and wife Lillian of Evansville, IN; and Gale Storey and wife Penny of Tunnel Hill, IL; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Harper.
Funeral services for Louise Storey, 95, of Enfield, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be at the West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or Wabash Christian Retirement Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
