Louise Hertlein

Louise Hertlein, 89 of Carmi, passed away Monday morning November 9, 2015 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born December 2, 1925 the daughter of John and Mary (Hutchcraft) Zimmerman. She married Lewis Hertlein on September 4, 1948 in Henderson, KY and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2015.

Louise was a homemaker and retired from the telephone office. After retiring she became very active in the Carmi American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Carmi.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Lyndel Brennan and Stella Whetstone and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis; and a brother, Shearl Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday November 12, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
