LOUIS TALLEY

October 17, 1925 — December 31, 2017

Louis C. Talley, 92, of Norris City passed away at 1:53 a.m., Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Carmi Manor.  He was born in Dekovan, KY the son of William Monson and Eura (Vaughn) Talley.  Louis married Freda Marie English on July 15, 1945 and she preceded him in death on January 26, 1992.  Louis was a farmer and honorably served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the White County Farm Bureau.

Louis is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Ivan) Cozart and Linda Sue (Walter) Stokes all of Norris City; a sister, Patsy Edwards of Flora; three grandchildren, Scott (Sherri) Cozart of Greenwood, IN, Mark (Amy) Cozart of Norris City and Angie (Adam) Deal of Carmi; three great-grandchildren, Riley and Madison Cozart and Hadley Grace Deal; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Zeimet and Edna Talley and four brothers, Beryl, Ronald, Eddie and Earl Talley.

Funeral Services for Louis C. Talley, 92, of Norris City will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.  Burial will be in Powell Cemetery in Norris City with Military Rites by the Carmi American Legion and VFW.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Louis' memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
